We can announce that Cuba R2 with the STP Phase 2 functionality will be released in late January 2023.

We strongly recommend that clients familiarise themselves with the ATO documentation and ensure you understand the differences between how you currently report and what will be changing, including some new concepts such as the ‘disaggregation of gross’.

LawMaster clients who lodge STP through our payroll will be covered under our compliance date deferral until 30th April 2023. If your firm falls into this category, you will need to upgrade to Cuba R2 and start reporting to the ATO before this date. Clients who are unable to implement the changes before 30th April need to apply directly to the ATO for their own deferral.

The changes that were necessary for STP phase 2 are quite extensive, but we will be supporting you with the transition. LawMaster payroll clients are being contacted directly by our Client Success Team regarding the upgrade process. Our Client Success Team will send out communications regarding the upgrade process and the steps to follow to meet the new reporting requirements closer to the release date. We will also be scheduling webinars and Q&A sessions.
