Print or export to excel for further analysis and data mining. . ### Frequently asked questions ##### How do I assign multiple/plural Clients to a Matter? You can create a Plural Contact with two or more Contacts, then assign this to a given field. ##### How do I edit/delete Time Records (Costs) from a Matter? A Matter's Time Records can be edited or deleted via its Costs page. Only Costs with a Not Invoiced status can be edited or deleted. ##### Can I keep the Matter Numbers from my legacy system when I import them to mattero? You cannot keep the Matter Numbers from your legacy system when you import your Matters into mattero. Importing a Matter from a legacy system will cause its Matter Number (including any prefixes or suffixes) to be removed. However, in mattero, you can set your Matter Numbers to start from a given number to provide continuity with your legacy system. For example, if your legacy system's last Matter Number was "100", you can set your mattero Matter Numbers to start from "101" to continue the count. ##### How do I configure taxes and make GST applicable/non-applicable on a Matter? Taxes, such as the Goods and Sales Tax (GST) can be configured to always be applied, never be applied, or be optionally applied in mattero. ##### How do I configure calculated Custom Fields (expressions)? You can create a calculated custom field (or "expression") within either a Matter or Contact to automatically calculate new information from existing data, such as to generate the cooling-off period after a purchase. ##### How do I restrict access to certain Matters? You can create and assign Security Roles in mattero with various levels of access, and assign one or more Users to these Roles as needed. Once you have created Security Roles for your organisation, you can then add restrictions on which Roles can access certain Practice Areas, which will restrict access to any Matter created under this Practice Area. ##### Can I create fixed fees to automatically apply when I reach certain stages (milestones) in a Matter? mattero does not allow automated fixed fees to be applied.
